Turn of the Tide

Two favourites together! One of the locations I delight in is the Outer Hebrides, with North Uist in particular – wide glorious beaches with views across to other islands and vast skies. The sunsets can be spectacular. I sometimes think of the long wartime patrols by the RAF, with Sunderlands and Catalinas. Seeing this evocative view I wanted to combine the Catalina and North Uist.

Thanks to Airfix, a mirror, this is the result! Hope you enjoy too. When friends saw the result they knew exactly where it was – they have a cottage just to the left of the view, overlooking the bay – an amazing coincidence!
