At Flying Legends (IWM Duxford, Cambridgeshire) a few years back, I was walking back to my chosen viewing position on the crowd line when I saw this in front of me: the American Museum.
A modern building designed by Sir Norman Foster, it has this enormous glass frontage enabling views of the fabulous collection of aircraft inside (including B-24, SR-71, B-52 etc.).
What really fascinated me was the depths seen – in front, inside and the reflections from behind me. Added to this were the fleeting snippets of views of aircraft, making for an intriguing subject. I think I counted 7 aircraft painted inside.
Boy did I give myself a task! + Perhaps I should produce this as a jigsaw…?
