2019 was the 50th anniversary of the first flight of Concorde. I portray her here to celebrate this important marker.
Whilst visiting the Scottish Museum of Flight, I went to study their Concorde. Sadly, she is a tight fit in her hangar and difficult to stand back from for good photography.
However I noticed a large model on a stand, placed near to the actual aircraft. I spotted a dramatic angle I’d not seen before… using this as a basis, with plenty of support photography, this is the result.
Concorde always needed permission to tackle the Atlantic crossing (all factors allowing), hence Air Traffic Control acknowledging ‘confirmed supersonic’ – and thus the title.
