Eastern Tristar

I was approached by a close friend to portray a childhood memory from visits to relatives in New Jersey, USA. Some of his favourites from his travels were the flights in the bright silver Eastern Airlines Lockheed 1011 TriStars. I was asked to show a take off from Liberty Airport New Jersey, with the New York skyline in the background. For once the aircraft was the easier part of the project, the backdrop was indeed a challenge: what to put in/leave out, but a must was the Empire State building. The TriStar was a joy to do!
